Could this interpreter’s day actually work? Compare travel, arrival preparation and a gluten-free lunch before accepting the schedule.
Hypothetical Seattle day: Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Sites and assignments are fictional. Every driving time and delay below is a teaching assumption, not a live route estimate. Restaurant sources checked September 26, 2026.
Fictional sites use neighborhood labels only. No client names, exact assignment addresses or appointment details are needed for this public demo. For real routing, use only location information approved for the chosen tool.
Each driving leg adds a 10-minute contingency. Each assignment adds 15 minutes for parking, check-in and preparation. Ghostfish adds 5 minutes for parking plus the selected ordering/eating time. Packed lunch uses that same selected meal duration at an approved place near Site B before departure.
If readiness falls after a meeting starts, the schedule is flagged. Assigned end times remain fixed; the page does not claim late arrival is acceptable or predict a rescheduled finish.
Gluten-free stops and a fallback
Ghostfish, SoDo
2942 1st Ave S, Seattle. The restaurant describes its kitchen and menu as fully gluten-free. Its posted Wednesday opening is noon.
Scheduled lunch candidate. Allow for the detour, parking and service time. This demo is a food stop, with no alcohol planned.
Choose food that meets your own dietary needs and plan suitable storage. Confirm a permitted place to eat near Site B.
The model removes the restaurant detour but keeps a real meal break. It does not “solve” a late schedule by deleting lunch or arrival preparation.
Before eating: verify current hours and menu, discuss ingredients and preparation/cross-contact needs with staff, and follow your own dietary requirements. A website’s gluten-free claim is not an individual safety guarantee.
Plan your own day: copy-paste prompts
Replace the brackets after copying. Use an approved tool and only permitted information. Exact addresses and appointment times can still identify a confidential assignment. Use broad areas and checked travel estimates if needed.
1. Research and plan your day
2. Optional: make your own webpage
Review the plan first. File creation and interactive previews depend on your tool.
Use a tool with web search for source checks. If search is unavailable, ask it to mark current facts as unverified. This is a copyable prompt, not a record of a previous AI response.
Presenter walkthrough and source notes
Show the base plan. Ask, “Where might AI help outside the meeting itself?” Pause briefly; no audience device or group work is needed.
Select “Try a 20-minute traffic delay.” Show the missed readiness target at Site B. Ask, “What would you verify or coordinate before accepting this day?”
Switch the lunch plan to packed lunch. Explain that it helps the afternoon but cannot repair a missed morning assignment.
Open the restaurant source and the current traffic source. Distinguish published facts, teaching assumptions and live information that still needs checking.
Open and copy the prompt. A presenter can paste it into any suitable AI tool and compare the sourced result with this saved fallback.

Alternatives
Which AI could help with your interpreting day? Start with the task: research the meeting, study approved materials, or organize travel and breaks. These are options to explore—not a ranking or an endorsement.
Product information checked September 26, 2026. Features vary by plan, region, device and workplace settings. Interpreter examples below are suggested uses, not promises from the providers.
Meta’s personal AI agent can research and carry out tasks across connected services, using its own browser. It can continue work in the background.
Try: “Compare lunch stops for this fictional schedule. Give me sources and a draft plan. Do not book, purchase or send anything.” Review connected-account access and action permissions.
A separate AI agent for multi-step research and creating outputs such as slides or webpages.
Try: “Turn this checked, fictional day plan into a webpage for my review.” Do not grant permission to publish or alter bookings unless you intend that action.
Muse is Meta’s personal agent. Meta AI is its general assistant. Manus is a separately named agent product.
An agent may do more than answer. Begin with public or fictional information and a “draft only” task. Inspect permissions in the actual product; a prompt is not a privacy control.
Everyday questions, reminders and getting around
Siri / Apple Intelligence
Device assistance, reminders and directions on supported Apple devices.
Try: “Remind me to check the route before I leave.” Check typed interaction and visual responses on your device; do not make the demo voice-only.
Transcription and notes for spoken meetings, only when recording and use of the service are authorized.
Speech transcription does not directly capture signed ASL. It may capture an interpreter’s spoken rendition, which is not a substitute for the Deaf person’s original signed contribution.
For the day-planning demo: use the same prompt in an approved tool with web research. If browsing is unavailable, require “unverified” labels. Not every tool can generate a webpage or follow the whole prompt.
For real assignments: confirm agency/client policy before uploading information or connecting email, calendars or files. A public bio cannot establish a Deaf client’s interpreting preferences or working style; ask them.
For travel and food: verify ETAs in a current navigation tool, check official traffic sources and confirm dietary preparation needs with the restaurant. AI search is not live navigation or a food-safety guarantee.
For accessibility: look for typed input, readable responses and usable keyboard controls. These tools support preparation; none is being presented here as a replacement for a qualified sign language interpreter.
The page itself connects to no AI system. Provider websites open only when you select their links. No accounts or confidential data are needed for this demonstration.
